John Fort

Letter from the Chairman, Jo Brown 29/07 /2020

It is with a very sad heart that I have to inform you all that our friend John has passed away. John, as we all know, was an invaluable member of the Drama Society for over 50 years and I am sure we all have memories of sharing the stage with him in many a production. I personally will never forget him as my husband Albert Parker in ” When we are Married ” a part he played three times over the years and his performance as Crabtree in ” ‘Allo ‘Allo ” will always make me smile.

Unfortunately, John’s last years were plagued by illness and he was unable to continue to take an active part in the Society, however he was forever a big supporter of Billesdon Drama.

All our thoughts I know will be with Chris and the family at this very sad time and I am sure you will agree that a bit of Billesdon Drama Society has now been lost, but will never be forgotten.
